On June 23rd, 2008 the world lost an irreplaceable young man. To honor his life in the most profound and positive ways possible, the KWEST (Kevin Whitney Educational Scholarship Team) Non-Profit organization has been created by his family and closest friends. While the lifelong mission and vision for KWEST is immense, our goal is simple: to impact and improve the lives of youth and young adults in our community by providing inspiration and opportunity for a better future.

KWEST will provide scholarships to local, inspirational high school athletes, as well as to individuals seeking to improve the quality of his or her community by entering into EMT, Paramedic and Fire Training Programs. Kevin graduated from Oxnard Regional Fire Academy just months before his death; we are determined to assist others in taking this noble career path.

Additionally, the KWEST foundation will perform outreach within our communities and schools to young adults and high school students to discuss responsibilities and potential dangers that come with alcohol use and abuse.
